Brent Bramer, Lead Pastor

Brent is the founding and Lead Pastor of SLO City Church in San Luis Obispo, California. With over 22 years of ministry experience, Brent has a deep love for the local church and a passion for helping people discover Jesus, grow in their faith, and live lives that bring hope to others.

Before planting SLO City Church, Brent spent years over a decade serving in worship ministry, youth and college ministry, and three years involved in community development work in Haiti. These experiences helped shape his heart for people, leadership development, and a church that doesn't just gather together but lives out the way of Jesus in the world.

In September 2019, Brent and his family – along with a core team of people launched SLO City Church with a simple mission: Live the way of Jesus and bring hope to everyone. Since then, the church has grown through multiple locations, unexpected challenges, and an incredible story of God's faithfulness.

Brent is passionate about teaching the Scriptures in ways that connect with everyday life, developing leaders, planting churches, serving those on the margins and helping people become more like Jesus.

Brent and his wife, Jenna, have four children—Keegan, Cole, Isla, and Hattie. Outside of church, he enjoys time with his family, running, basketball, and exploring new places.
